Video Filing Instructions

Exporting your video from Premiere:

Format:  H.264

Preset:  Vimeo 720HD  (This selects a compression format that Kaltura can easily and quickly convert.)

Go to http://video.kent.edu. At the top right corner of the site, pull down the “FlashLine Login” menu to “Login.” Enter your Flashline info and hit return.

Your name should now appear at the upper right. Again, pull down the menu, this time to “my media.” You should see all the videos you previously uploaded to Kaltura.

Next to your name is a pull down that says “Add New.” Choose Media Upload if you want to add video. Choose the file you want to upload — you’ll see a progress bar advance from left to right as your video copies over. Fill in the fields in the template below, using at least three descriptive tags that are searchable on the Internet.

Be sure to select the “Published” radial button, or not one will be able to see or play your video.

You should see an option after the Published option is selected to add your video to Kaltura Channel.  Select the check box for Reporting Public Policy F-2015.

When your video upload is complete, click the save button at the bottom.
