COVID-19 deaths in context

These two deaths compare the amount of deaths due to COVID-19 in the United States to other deadly days in United States history. The first graph compares the “deadliest days” on US soil to the deaths that have happened on a few of the days in the last week due to COVID-19.

The second graph compares the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the United States to the amount of American soldiers who died in the Civil War, WW2, and the Vietnam War.

These graphs are intended to put into context just how many people have died due to COVID-19.
