Kent State & the City of Kent Partner to Improve 17 Pedestrian Crosswalks
Kent State & The city of Kent partnered up to improve safety measures on 17 pedestrian crosswalks. Kent State paid for an assessment to study 27 crosswalks and intersections around both the city and the university. The city and KSU will split the cost of the almost $30 thousand project, known as Phase 1. This is where the first round of improvements will be made. These include the paintings of road markers, adding signage and improving pedestrian signal times. The improvements are set to be done in the next month.
The 28 Crosswalk/Intersection locations evaluated are listed in the map above. The map was created with Google MyMaps.
