Former KSU Field Hockey Coach Wiler’s Lawsuit against the University continues: What Comes Next
Three years after Kathleen Wiler filed a Title IX gender pay discrimination lawsuit against Kent State, there’s still no decision. Wiler, a former champion field hockey at Kent State, claimed that despite having more success, she was paid significantly less than her male counterparts.
Kent State filed a motion for summary judgment on December 3, 2021, and Wiler’s side responded days later. If the court rules in favor of Kent State, Wiler’s claims are dismissed. Both sides have been waiting for the court to rule.
