Issue 4

Information courtesy of Kent City Police Department

  • The City of Kent only invested an estimated 8 percent of the $120 million that has gone into building up downtown.
  • The City of Kent conducted extensive research before moving forward with the downtown project.
  • Although the development downtown is providing some financial benefit, it is not enough in the short term to cover unexpected state funding cuts.
  • If Issue 4 does not pass, the city cannot afford to replace the out-dated and ineffecient police station and continue some city services.
