The day began with a warm welcome for Beverly Warren, followed by her opening statements. Presentations were given by Enrollment Management VP Greg Jarvie, University Relations VP Iris Harvey, and Athletic Director Joel Neilson. In the wake of an Urban Outfitters t-shirt incident, the university’s branding, marketing and PR initiative was a much-discussed topic.

Trustee Michael Solomon said the university did an excellent job handling the incident, but there is a lot of amazing things at Kent State that many know nothing about because of poor branding and marketing.
