Penn said the Kent State Campus Police Department have different responsibilities with Kent City Police Department. Kent State campus police officers help train Kent city police officers so that city can have officers to teach local schools.

Anchor Out: Officer Machqual Penn encourages students to join the program. Hopefully we can see City of Kent apply ALICE to businesses and other institutions because we want everybody to be safe. Yujing will keep you posted if any updates happen on the program.

ALICE training is not only opens for students and faculty members but also to the public. Kent hasn’t had an active ALICE training session specifically open to the public yet but police said everybody is welcomed to come to the campus and received training.
