The Cuyahoga River is home to 100 miles of winding waterways and tributaries located between Akron and Cleveland. The river has made great strides since the famous 1969 fire when it caught fire due to excessive pollution in the surrounding areas. Today, the Cuyahoga River is recognized as a healthy river and Northeast Ohio is rediscovering the identity of the ‘Crooked River,’ as locals enjoy recreational activities and the natural beauty the river has to offer.
