COVID-19 Ohio Update 5/4/2020

Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine, opened up Monday’s press conference with a moment of silence to remember the 50th anniversary of the Kent State University shootings.

DeWine showed a graph where Ohio was doing with COVID-19, stating, “It isn’t as good as we would want, but it is going down.”

Lt. Governor Jon Husted gave an update on when BMV services would be back open but wanted to avoid a mass crowd of people until an online portal service could be up and running.

Dr. Amy Acton gave her daily update on cases and deaths in Ohio and the numbers are still going up with Acton reminding us of the importance of protecting the other person.

DeWine, Husted, and Acton took media questions then DeWine closed the press conference with a video from Jeremy Guy, assistant commissioner of the MAC conference. https://twitter.com/GovMikeDeWine/status/1257392620189483011
