Chicago migrant crisis: Asylum seekers adapt to their new lives in a South Side community
Since 2022, Chicago has had thousands of migrants bussed in from Texas and dropped off at various locations across the city. These came with no warning and left migrants with no where to go. Around 20 thousand migrants have been sent to Chicago, many of them having to adapt to the city’s new climate. On the South Side, community activists welcomed asylum seekers and helped them adapt to their new homes. TV2’s Erin Sullivan has more.
